wolf and i are going to see the 8:30pm showing of star trek at the century daly city this thursday. century daly city is a very short walk from the daly city bart station. we're not going to buy tickets in advance because i doubt it will sell out. we'll probably get down there around 6:30 or 7, buy our tickets, and hit up fuddruckers if there isn't a line for the movie. anyone who wants to join is welcome.
two things. . .
limited edition star trek sporks
and
hr 669 - a bill that would make owning guinea pigs illegal nationwide. sounds like a bad joke. i understand the need to make certain reptiles illegal with the problems that happen when they get out and start a population in the wild in places like florida. but all non native species? regardless of how they would impact the ecosystem if they escape/released? ridiculous!

friday - spent the day with mom running around the east bay. hightailed it back to the city with chris for tacos and margaritas with a good group of people.
saturday - bbq in golden gate park. they played texas hold em for quite a while after eating. i don't do poker so i played my ds and drank too much wine.
sunday - watchmen. btwn the long movie, the time change, and the long wait for muni the whole day was gone by the time we got home. enjoyed the movie enough so it was worth it. saw the new trek trailer. the first half started to get me a little excited about the movie. then kirk comes on and ruins it. the stupid story line i can already see btwn spock and uhura just nails the coffin. bleh. i'll still watch it opening day, but i won't be expecting much of anything good. hopefully it'll be better than nemesis.

las vegas star trek experience to reopen on fremont street. it's reopening will coincide with the new movie (hopefully it doesn't have too much crap from the new movie since it doesn't look too promising).
